BIO
Acting since the age of 7, performing has always been a part of Drew's life. Born, raised and currently residing in Seattle, he is an actor of color, African American, Native American (Virginia River Tribes descendent) & Caucasian. He studied Theatre growing up at his schools, Summit K-12 and Franklin High School as well as Seattle Childrens Theatre and Seattle Youth Shakespeare Workshop leading up to his studies at Western Washington University where he received his BA in Theatre Arts. Upon returning to Seattle Drew performed for 2 years with Open Door Theatre, an acting troop touring schools and performing plays that help to teach children safety rules towards sexual abuse prevention. Shortly after that he joined Last Leaf Touring Childrens Theatre, and has been performing with them for the past 17 years. Last Leaf is dedicated to touring play versions of folk tales from around the world to Libraries and Schools outside of the Greater Seattle Area that have little or no local theatre. He also spent 5 summers touring with Greenstage Shakespeare in the Park. Other Seattle Theatres Drew has performed with include - Theatre Babylon, Theater Schmeater, Annex Theatre, Open Circle Theatre and Brown Box Theatre. In 2013 Drew decided to take on Film and Voice Over work and joined Topo Swope Talent. Since then he has appeared in two short films, Color TV No Vacancy and Closing Time. And in 2014 Drew made his National Television debut on the hit NBC show GRIMM, season 3 episode 9 titled "The Red Menace". In 2017 he guest starred on both The Librarians (TNT) season 4 episode 3 "And The Christmas Thief" and Z Nation (Syfy) season 4 episode 5 "The Unknown". In Voice Over Drew can be heard in commercials for UW Sports Medicine, Samsung, Microsoft, Amazon, Holland Cruise Lines, John Howie Steakhouse, The Bellevue Collection and Group Health. He has also done internal VO work for Committee for Children, Outterwall and Boeing. Though his largest success has come in the form of Video Game VO. Drew voiced one of the main characters, Marcus Campbell, in the internationally multi-platinum selling XBOX game "State Of Decay". He also returned to voice the character of Sergeant Kelly Eldridge III Esq. AKA 'Sasquatch' in the State of Decay DLC "Lifeline", State of Decay 2 & "Daybreak" DLC . In May of 2015 Drew's second video game was released, "Lost Within". A mobile game available through Amazon for IPhones, IPads and Kindle devices. Drew provided VO for the main character Deputy Chuck Pearson. His other video game credits include Guild Wars 2 (PC), BattleTech (PC), and Golem (PS4 VR). 1/25/2021 - Earlier this Fall Drew realized two more dreams, to get a VO booking out of LA and to get his voice in a Nintendo video game. He provided Voice Over for the character Dheginsea in the Halloween DLC pack for Fire Emblem Heroes. Last Spring Drew got the chance to do his first audiobook, Baseball is Baseball - The Understated Ichiro is available now on Audible. He also recently found out that some Mocap body work (Mocap Now) he performed for a character in the upcoming game Twelve Minutes will be voiced by non other than Willem Dafoe! The game also stars the voices of James McAvoy and Daisy Ridley who played Rea in the new Star Wars Films. Drew will also be recording his first studio produced audiobook mid next month.
He is also happy to announce that in mid February he will be teaching his first online acting classes for kids. Details on the Classes Page.
Though 2020 not only brought on the pandemic, but an ongoing family crisis for Drew, his wife & family. But just like the rest of the world, he is pressing on & pulling through. He would also like to thank his wife, family, friends and community for their constant support.
